PATTUTSAVAM
This is 9 day annual program , consists of cultural performance, conventions and elephant processions falls in January.
CHALIYAPORATTU
This is also an annual festival, it is celebrated at Bhagavathi temple , occurs in march.
PALAKUNNU
This festival is marked by long procession of women carrying earthen pots which are then deposited at the local temple. The major attraction is traditional dances.
PALAKUNNU BHARANI
The highlight of this festival is grand processions and sparkling fireworks. Usually it was held during march.
NILESWAR POORAKALI
This is also an annual festival held during last week of march, at bhagavathi temple
MAJOR ATTRACTIONS IN KASARGODU
BEKAL FORT : it is about 16 km on the south of kasargodu . the fort with its circular laterite structure about 130 ft above sea level. It is belived that the fort was constructed about 300 years back. The beautiful Pallikere beach is about 1 km from this fort. The aqua park nearby has a variety of thrills to offer like the pedal boats , water cycles, boating etc. the bekal tourism project is launched to make the naturally gifted place Bekal one of the finest tourist centers.
KAPPIL BEACH
It is about 5 km form Bekal fort. This fascinating beach apparently isolated offers calm and charm . the kodi cliff at a stone’s throw is the vantage point to get an a real glimpse of the great expanse of the Arabian sea.
ANANTHAPURA LAKE TEMPLE
It is about 30 km form bekal , this is an ancient temple amidst a serene lake belongs to the 9 th century . formerly this temple is known as Moolasthanam of Sri Padmanabha swamy, the presiding deity of the temple at thirvanthapuram.
ANANDASRAM
This beautiful place is about 15 km from bekal . founded by Swamy Ramdas whose spiritual aura attracted disciples and followers from India and abroad this is an ideal place for meditation .
