Pampadum Shola National Park

Pampadum Shola National Park is one of the smallest national park in kerala. the park is under the control of Kerala forest department. The near by national park are Eravikulam, Anamudi, chinnar wild life sanctuary, Kurinjimala sanctuary etc. This park protects evergreen shola forest and associated wildlife. A wide variety of medicinal plant and Eucalyptus trees are found here.Number of endagered species are also found here. The wildlife includes elephants, Buffaloes, Black monkeys, and Gaur. The main birds found here are white bellied shortwing , Nilgiri wood pigeon, blue capped rock thrush, blue rock thrush, Nilgiri fly catcher etc.

Pambadum shola national park covers an area of 1.32 sq km. it is located in marayoor village of idukki district. it is declared as national park in 2004.
