Hyderabad is the capital city of Andhra Pradesh state , in India. This is a city with well connected road and rail network. It also connected to major cities  by the air and sea routes.  Secunderabad , an another state in Andhra Pradesh , touches with Hyderabad, these two, that is both secunderabad and Hyderabad together known as twin cities.  Hyderabad city is the heart of Andhra tourism sector. This is a beautiful city  with modern structures like multi speciality hospital , huge flats, most modern gardens, swimming pools etc.

Hyderabad is also famous for its ancient monuments like mosque , forts etc. the public garden and art galleries attracts thousands of tourists every year.  You can see a blended architecture of  hindu and islam.  The placid lakes and picnic spots  etc are another attractions .

Climate

The summer temperature is varies between 22 -40 degree C. At the peak time the temperature reaches 42 degree C. During the winter season the temperature between 12 and 22 degree C .

Two excellent handicrafts , Bidri and Kinkhab, are well cherished in Hyderabad.  Bidri is an art work on metal with silver designs. Kinkhab is an art of decorating silk garments with silver or gold.

Ashurkhana

Ahsurkhana is a mourning house ,located in hyderabad used during the time of moharrum. The beautiful sculptures and carvings, gives the evidence for its  ancient glory .  Even thoughthe middle parts of this house was destroyed,  you can see beautiful carvings on the interior walls.  It also comprise of wonderful artifacts and other wood works.

Birla mandir

Hyderabad Birla_Mandir

Birla mandir is a beautiful temple located in Hyderabad. The temple , dedicated to Lord Venkateswara . it is a  hilly region , covers an area of 13 acres.

Birla mandir reflects , both south Indian and Rajasthani architectures. It was built by using 2000 tons of Rajasthani marbles.  It is well known for its carvings and sculptures.The statue of the presiding deity is about 3.4 m tall .

Another attraction near to birla mandir is Birla planetarium .

How to reach Birla mandir ?

Birla mandir is well connected by buses and mmts train. The  secunderabad railway station is about 7 km away. Hyderabad railway station is about 3 km away.

shamirpet lake-shamirpet lake in Hyderabad

Shamirpet lake is located neat to hyderabad . this is a artificial lake. it was built during the time of Nizam. the main attraction in this lake is sun set. the best time to visit this lake is in between october and march. Here you can see thousands of beautiful birds. A deer park is located near to this lake. Shamirpet lake is about 30 km away from hyderabad city.

Durgam Cheruvu(secret lake)

Durgam Cheuvu popularly known by the name Secret lake. it is situated near to the shilparamam craft village. it spreads an area of 63 acres . this lake is surrounded by the hills of the deccan plateau. thousands of tourists are coming here and enjoy the boating . it is an idle place for film shooting .  different types of boating are available here.  it is about 8.4 km away from hyderabad city.
