Arunachal Pradesh is covered with green forests, plateaus and deep river valleys. Himalayan ranges are located in the northern part of the state. The state is divided into five river valleys. Subansiri , Kameng, Slang, Tirap and Lohit.
In Arunachal Pradesh climate varies from subtropical to alpine. In southern region , subtropical climate and in northern region alpine . The state receives heavy rainfall upto 1000mm . The rainy season is spread over eight to nine months . The average temperature is 19 degree C. In some regions the temperature reaches 40 degree during summer season.
Fauna and Flora
Almost 65% of the state is covered with ever green forest. The vegetation here is classified as tropical ,subtropical , temperate, pine , alpine, bamboo and degraded forests. Apart from this , grasslands are seen in plains and higher altitudes. . Wide varieties of timber species , oaks, orchids, medicinal plants, rhododendrons, bamboos, ferns, and canes are seeing here.
The state is also rich in animal life. Wildlife includes elephants, mithun, leopard, tiger , gibbon, musk deer, red panthers, gaur, and wild buffalo.
Major tourist spots : Tawang monastery , Mallinithan, Bhismaknagar, Tipi orchid, parashuram kund, gekar sinyi , Talley Valley , Bomdila, Tipi Orchid Research center , Dr D Ering wildlife sanctuary.
