Bahu Fort is situated in Jammu city . this fort was built by Raja Bahulochan , 3000 years ago. Dogra rulers was refurbished this fort during 19 th century. this fort has a religious importance . A temple is dedicated to Hindu goddess Kali, inside this fort. Locally this temple is known by the name ‘Bave wali mata temple”. the location of the fort is on a high plateau land, on the bank of Tawi River. A thick forest area surrounds this fort. the beautiful garden besides to this fort attracts thousands of tourists. Bahu fort is about 5 km away from Jammu city. the fort was made up of sandstones by using lime and motor. The major festival in this fort temple is “Bahu Mela”. held duing march- april and september and october.
