VGP golden beach
The beach is about 20 km from the south Chennai. Frequent bus services are available .this is an amusement park with wonderful settings and structures. Number of movie shooting take place here. Another attraction is sea swimming. The festival’s like pongal, flower show , vegetable show are held here.
Kishkinta
It is located at tambaram . both train and bus services are available here. Kishkinta covers an area of 110 acres of land. . an exciting amusement park set in wonderful surroundings. A manmade waterfall is newly constructed.
Crocodile bank
It is a famous tourist place about 35 km from Chennai. This place is located in between vgp park and dizzy world. Here you can different variety of crocodile species . the crocodiles basking the sun and their immediate responses are exciting sight.
MGM dizzy world
Dizzy world is located south to vgp golden park. A high tech amusement park is associated with this . the heart throbbing entertainments which makes one really dizzy world.

Napier park
Napier park is at he heart of the Chennai city . the other parks near to napier park are pangal park in T nagar and Nageswara rao Panthulu park at mylapore. Carnatic music is play during evenings in these parks.

Vandalur zoo is a zoological garden . it is under the control of Chennai corporation .this park is also known as anna zoological park and covers an area of 1265 acres. The zoo is largest among south asia . it consists of rich variety of species of mammals , reptiles, birds etc. an aquarium, safari park, natural museum are also arranged here.
Gandhi mandapam

Chennai Gardens and parks
Once Chennai known as garden city , but these gardens are vanished . some gardens are kilpaud garden, poes garden , sylvan garden , tec. These gardens are protected by Chennai corporation .the chief garden is ‘my ladies garden’. The corporation holds its annual flower show in this garden. The flower show is inaugurated by the governor of Chennai. Bonsai trees , musical fountains, carving are also seen. , during flower show season.
Ripon buildings
Ripon buildings in nicknamed as white house of madaras. The building constructed in 1913 by lord Hardinge. The construction material is bricks and chunnabu. A tower is associated with this building . at the top of this tower a huge clock resembles to ‘big ben of london’ . the construction of the building in brittish style. the Chennai corporation, city council are functioned here.
Muttukadu
Muttukadu is about 35 km from Chennai city. This place is a famous picnic spot and centre of water sports. The muttukadu is famous for backwater tourism.
Covelong

Birla planetarium
Birla planetarium is located in kotturpuram between adyar and guindy. The planetarium can accommodate 230 persons at a time. The researches in the astrophysics and space science are going here. during Mondays two programmes depicting the position of constellations moon panorama , comets, galaxies, solat system, space travel etc are on show to the public. It is one of the major attraction to the tourists. This planetarium is located near to periyar science and technology museum , the persons who interested in science and scientific principles must visit here.
Ellot’s beach
The beach is located at bezant nagar.The ellot’s beach is used by the former governors of chennai to spent their free time for relaxation. A memorial namely schimidt’s memorial can be seen in the shore. Number of temples and churches are occupied in this beautiful beach. Ellot’s beach is a favourite shooting place for tamil movies.
Theosophical society
Theosophical society help us to the study of comparative religion , science ,and philosophy . the foundation stone laid by Madame Blavatsky in 1875 . a library is associated with this, which consists of valuable manuscripts. Annual convention of the society is held during December.

Victoria memorial
Victoria memorial is the national art gallery. The memorial constructed in mughal style of north India adapted to madras requirements. Pink colored sandstone are used for its construction .the gateway to this building resembles that of akbar’s dream palace at fathpur sikri . the flooring is done in marble .the foundation laid by george b who visited madras as prince of wales.the memorial hall have a fine collection of bronze images in the 12 th century.
Valluvar kottam
Valluvar kottam once a lake in the center of the city and later a garbage dump was reclaimed and refurbished by Chennai corporation . valluvar kottam is a fitting memorial to the greatest poet in tamilnadu. The temple is dedicated to thiruvallur, it constructed in Dravidian and pallavan style of architecture.
Kalashetra
The word meaning of kalashetra is ‘temple art’. It is a cultural institution . the classical dances such as bhartnatyam, kuravanji etc are teach here. The foundation stone laid by Rukmini Devi Arundale in 1936 . kalashetra follows ancient gurukulm system. That is students stay with the teachers. The dance performance and music recitals are performed throughout the year.
