THODEEKULAM SIVA TEMPLE
Thodeekulam siva temple is about 2000 years old. It is about 35 km from kannur. The famous pazhassi raja family is said to have a close relationship with this temple .

MADAYI PARA
Madayipara is a mosque constructed during 12 th century by Malik Ibn Dinar. The mosque was built in white marbles imported from Arabia. The other importance of madayipara is the presence of Madaikavu temple and Vadakunnu temple. A beautiful structure ramashackle fort was constructed by Tipu sultan.
THALASSERY FORT
Thalassery fort serves as the centre of brittish military. The famous attractions near to this fort is Jaganatha temple, sri rama temple and gym.
GUNDERT BUNGALOW
It is about 20 km from kannur. It near to thalassery . this plays have a significant role in the bibliography of Malayalam. The famous lexicographer Dr Herman Gundert had lived here during 1839 .

EZHIMALA
Ezhimala is a beautiful picnic spot . it is about 55 km from kannur. Ezhimala holds elegant beaches and extravagant hils. It is about 280 m above sea level. Rare species of medicinal plants are seen in ezhimala hills. Beautiful carved pillars of ancient times sprout majesticallsy from the ground at hill foot . A huge burial chamber is also seen here.
