At present , the boats owned by kerala toursm department only conduct boat services. The boats owned by the forest department , not yet get fitness certificate. The officials said that, the repair works and other patch works will complete with in three days. Though the works will complete in three days , the issuing of fitness certificate further delayed , because the boats in thekkady be checked only after checking the boats in vizhinjam and alleppy. In thekkady , two boats owned by kerala forest department . there is a large difference in boat charges between ktdc and forest department. The ktdc charges Rs 150 and forest department charges Rs 40 per ticket.
