Athirappaly and Vazhachal are two beautiful waterfalls in thirssur district . Athirappaly water falls is about 63 km away from thrissur town . This is a popular picnic spot and it is a part of sholayar ranges . Athirappaly is one of the biggest water falls in India , the water is falls from a height of 80 ft.
Vazhachal is located near to athirappally , about 3 km from athirappally.

The annual festival of ollur church celebrated on October 23, 24 and 25 .Thousands of devotees take part in the festival procession. Pilgrims from all over the kerala coming here to take part in the festival . The perunnal ( festival ) began with hoisting of flag , before nine days .
The history says that , the ollur church was constructed in 18 th century . the church is very much famous for its wooden carvings. it is dedicated to saint Raphel . the major ritual in the annual festival is kooduthurakkal. That is the statue of Saint Raphel take outside for public veneration.

Cheruthuruthi is very much popular among tourists, because the world famous kathakali ( a dance form in kerala ) training centre “ KERLA KALAMANDALAM” is located here. It is a part of thrissur district, and it is located exactly 32 km north of Trichur. Kerala kalamandalam is a pioneer classical art training centre , giving training in kathakali, mohiniattam, ottam thullal etc. Hundreds of art fascinated youngsters , including foreigners are taking training here. The founder of kerala kalamandalom is Vallathol Narayana menon , a famous poet in Malayalam.

Peechi dam is a beautiful dam in thrissur ( trichur ) district , in kerala. It is about 20 km away from thrissur town . This dam is built for satisfying the need of irrigation . it also serves as a water source for thrissur city. It is built across the river Manali . it covers an area of 3200 acres. It is also a part of Peechi wildlife sanctuary.
