Lepakshi – A pilgrim spot in Andhra Pradesh

Lepakshi is a beautiful village in Andhra Pradesh . it is situated in between kodikonda check post and hindupur .  Hindupur railway station is only 16 km away from this village. The prime attraction in this village is an ancient temple dedicated to lord siva.  The temple built in vijayanagar architecture . The attracting feature of this temple is  “ Antarikshastambham” ( a structure hanging on the roof ) . Thousands of pilgrims are coming here for the blessing of lord siva.  The annual festival is Asvayujamasam, a 10 day celebration.  Usually it is held during February.
